Donald
Trump, the president of the United States of America, has
struck a
hard blow to the civil rights battle of transsexuals. He has removed
the protection that guaranteed that the transgender students could
acceded to the public baths of the gender with which they identify
themselves.
Trump's campaign reported that Obama's proposed laws to prevent discrimination against transsexual students will be dropped.
This campaign also comes after a year in which more than 20 states in Republican hands have passed laws criminalizing transsexuals for using public restrooms of the gender of their choice.
"Transsexual students simply want to go to school without fear of being discriminated against or harassed," "schools must ensure transgender students can learn in a safe environment," adds Chad Griffin, who is presently involved in the human rights campaign.
A 17-year-old teen has been responsible for the White House's position in this battle for equal rights. The public school where he studies does not allow him toaccess to the bathroom of his choice. This case will be studied by the Court.
